Fig. 7. Design of oligonucleotides for R5 peptide. The oligonucleotides for the R5 peptide were designed to be ligated directly into the EcoRI and NotI restriction sites of pET-30a(+) vector (Novagen) next to the 15mer spider silk-like clone that had already been cloned into the vector. Therefore, an EcoRI (gaattc) endonuclease restriction site has been introduced at the 5' end, and a NotI (gcggccgc) endonuclease restriction site is at the 3' end.
